- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I am a PhD student at ETH Zürich, Institute for Building Materials (IfB), working on the topic of “Characterization of alkali-silica reaction damage in concrete by X-ray tomography”. All the experimental part of my project is being performed at Laboratory for Concrete & Construction Chemistry and Center for X-ray Analytics of Empa Dübendorf. I have obtained both my bachelor (2012) and my first master (20115) degrees from Tabriz University (Tabriz, Iran) on materials engineering. I have obtained my second master (2017) on materials engineering from Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey). My key research areas are: (I) Xray imaging and image processing, (II) mechanical properties of materials and crystallographic texture analysis, (III) Surface engineering, (IV) Electrochemical properties of materials and fuel cells and (V) computational materials simulation.
